FUNCTION ROOM - THE GARDEN HALL

This is a simple sixteenth century building in the garden beside the house. It is available for hire by the day and has been used in combination with the gardens for a wide range of daytime and early evening activities, including study days, parties, exhibitions, retreats, meetings, and as a painting studio.

It has been modernised and opens into a sheltered Victorian verandah. With 722 sq. ft. it has space for up to fifty five people and has excellent natural light, heating, toilets, a small kitchen (with tea and coffee), seating and tables and its own parking area.

Food & Company, winners of Taste of Cumbria 2007, will contintue to run cookery demonstrations in the Garden Hall. Enjoy a day of culinary expertise in a spectacular setting. Hire arrangements
1.The standard charge per day is:

	Up to 20 people	up to 40 people	up tp 55 people
Per day	£95.00	£180.00	£250.00

2. The standard charge includes use of the Garden Hall, a parking area, chairs and tables and a kitchen with Fairtrade tea and coffee provided.

3. School Parties: per day £40.

4. Parking and access is via the back drive (as signposted). A dedicated parking area is found after a sharp turn left at the end of the drive. Parking is not available in the yard immediately outside the Garden Hall.

5. Cancellation: if less than a calendar month notice of cancellation is received there will be a charge of £95 for each day booked.

6. The Garden Hall is a non-smoking environment.

7. The hall is available for hire from 10.00 am and must be vacated by 5:30 pm each day.
